Engine

As i said the engine was incomplete not even having both half of the casings so i decided to use a vbc (150 Super)engine which i had two of. Unfortunatley as i built the engine awhile ago i have no pictures but this is what i did, first i stripped all the engines down then chose the best bits from both. I then went online and orded seals, gaskit set, cruciform, bearings, piston, clutch, points and condenser, coil, carb overhaul kit, and all nuts, tab washers, woodruff keys mainly from scootrs. After steam cleaning the casings i rebuilt the engine fitting the new parts. The newly built engine was missing a barrel cowling which luckily i sourced a metal one from ebay for £1.00, it was sprayed silver to match the flywheel cover, carb box top and hub back plate which i had sprayed earlier. The hub on a sportique uses a single pivet pin brake pads and the vbc uses a double pin, as i have decided to keep the eight inch wheels i had to find pads to fit the double pin and also to work in the small hub.Again i found them at scootrs along with a nice new exhaust
